Warren T. Jackson’s   2017 READ-A-THON

The 14th Annual READ-A-THON, “Find a Space to Read”, helps to raise money for W.T.Jackson, while encouraging and rewarding students for reading. Students will gather sponsorship for their reading efforts and read (or are read to) as many age appropriate books as possible during Read-a-Thon. All money raised will go toward more technology for our students. Thank you in advance for your support of W.T.Jackson!

Support Read-a-thon

Before the start of the Read-a-thon, your child will bring home their Read-a-Thon folder. It contains all the details to SECURE SPONSORS and LOG MINUTES READ from Thursday, January 12th -Tuesday, January 24th.  During the event, students will keep track of the amount of time they spend reading in 5 minute increments. Reading logs will be provided in students’ Read-A-Thon folders. Students will be given additional opportunities to read independently and collectively while at school. Students are also encouraged to read at home and collect pledges.

During this 13-day (1/12/17 – 1/24/17) event your child has the opportunity to earn great prizes and raise money towards our school. Remind your child(children) to bring their folder home nightly and take to school daily to record their minutes read.
